What is Navigator Miles Manager ?

Navigator Miles is our way of recognising and rewarding the efforts that often go beyond the job description. Whether it’s mentoring a colleague, submitting timely work logs, or leading a tech talk, every meaningful contribution earns you miles. These miles can be tracked and later redeemed for exciting rewards, gift vouchers, goodies, and more. The platform also introduces a layer of healthy competition through a live leaderboard, keeping participation consistent and engaging. For the company, it fosters a culture of accountability, initiative, and recognition. For employees, it offers visible appreciation, tangible rewards, and a motivating sense of progress.

What we built?

Miles of Recognition in Every Effort

Navigator Miles is built as a modular activity recognition and reward engine, built as a core feature of the Navigator platform. It’s designed Built to acknowledge achievements that traditional appraisal systems often miss. Each activity maps to a specific value in our internal scoring system, and the miles are calculated and stored accordingly. A robust backend is used to manage the reward logic and activity definitions. The frontend is clean, responsive, and designed in React. It offers live dashboards, leaderboards and redeemable rewards in card-based layouts. Admins have a dedicated section to configure rules, add/edit categories, and manage inventory dynamically.

We believe culture is built in the details. And Navigator Miles is our HRtech way of making sure those details never slip through.

Tracking Impact with Intelligent Design

Miles: Miles are internal points designed to reward initiative. Every qualifying activity earns you a set number of Miles. The home page is where you see they all add up. It records every earned mile, linked to the activity that triggered it.

Activities Hub: Activities Hub lists every Mile-worthy task in one clean, trackable space. This isn’t just a static list, it’s an interactive guide. With smart search and filtering options, you can quickly find the exact activity you're looking for. You can instantly see my activity, which shows the activities you’ve claimed. Each activity in the hub includes key details like:

Activity Name: What the task or initiative is?
Total Miles: How many Miles you can earn by completing it?
Assigned To: Who it’s meant for (a team, a role, or an individual)?

Leaderboard: The Leaderboard brings a fun, competitive edge to the recognition system. It ranks employees based on the total Miles they’ve earned through various activities. You can easily spot top performers, rising contributors, or even your own rank among peers.

Rewards Store: Inside the store, you’ll find a list of rewards: from gift vouchers and brand goodies to gadgets, event passes, and sometimes even surprise drops. Each reward clearly shows the miles required, whether it’s in stock, and if you've already claimed it. Once you have enough miles, redemption is just a few clicks away, and you’ll even get email updates about your claim status.

Claiming & Redeeming: Once you complete an activity, head over to the Activities, find the task you did, and click claim activity. Add a short note or any proof if needed, and submit it. Your request goes straight to the activity request section. Similarly, redeeming the miles is just as simple: visit the rewards section, pick your reward, and click claim reward.

Activity Request: Once submitted, your request moves into activity request. Someone with the right authority, like a lead or manager, will go through your claim, evaluate the impact, and either approve or reject it. You’ll be notified right away, so you always know where your request stands.

Email Notification: With smart email notifications, you’re alerted at every important step: activity request submitted, approved, rejected, reward claimed, and more. So, even if you haven’t opened the dashboard in days, you’ll still know exactly what’s happening with your miles.
